Musician & Audio Engineer
Hello! My name is Kaanan Tupper, and I've been a professional musician and audio engineer for the past 20 years. I picked up my first drumsticks at the age of ten and haven't looked back since. While drums are my bread and butter, I am also an accomplished musician on guitar and bass. Over the years, whether as a musician, recording engineer, or tour manager, I have had the opportunity to work alongside musical artists such as Jeremy Enigk, Sunny Day Real Estate, Country Teasers, A-Frames, The Intelligence, Wesley Willis, and many others.
In 2014, I began operating Mic Robe Studios, a small but mighty full-production digital playground utilizing Apple Logic Pro with acoustic drums and an array of guitars, basses, amps, and keyboards. Recent projects include mixing for The Intelligence Live Album on Castle Face Records and producing an Intelligence track on a compilation for french garage rock label Born Bad Records. Other acts who have recorded at Mic Robe include Hannah Jobus, Rob Magill, Sweet Reaper, Zhoark, Spires, Asa Edelbacher, and rock band Shy Fades.
